Wisconsin State Journal reporter Jim Polzin asked Badgers fans on Twitter what they thought of No. 25 Wisconsin's 28-7 loss to the No. 19 Iowa Hawkeyes Saturday at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa.

Can only do so much
With everything that is going on and all the extra stuff Chryst has to worry about u think him keeping play calling was a bad idea? As a HS coach I know how difficult it is calling plays as well as running a team. With all the injuries and Covid, he prolly made the right call

Too many hurdles
It’s what I expected. No receivers, an inexperienced QB, a season without continuity due to the pandemic, a 3rd string center, an inexperienced play caller.....Next year will be significantly better, but only if the young WR’a develop at a rapid rate.

This team went from top 10 to near bottom of the West in B10. COVID delays aside, we found this program took a step back because of no spring practice and not much prep time for season.
The lack of depth (WR &RB) is evident.

It's been awhile

Putting in their time
I was 100% concerned about the RB and WR positions heading into the season. There was nothing behind Davis/Pryor and no experienced star RB. This is a JV offense right now and Chryst/Rudolph don't know what to do. Good news is this experience should pay dividends next year.

No. 25 Wisconsin managed just one scoring drive in a 28-7 loss at No. 19 Iowa on Saturday, continuing a troubling trend of subpar offensive showings that have resulted in 20 combined points over the past three games.
The UW secondary had difficulty slowing Ihmir Smith-Marsette, who caught seven passes for 140 yards and two scores and may have put up even bigger numbers had he not injured himself while showboating late in the third quarter.
UW redshirt freshman QB Graham Mertz — who tested positive for the COVID-19 virus earlier this year — expressed concern for his teammate, who was a late scratch for Saturday's game.
Mohamed Ibrahim ran for two touchdowns following Nebraska turnovers, and a Minnesota team missing 33 players to COVID-19 protocols or injuries left Memorial Stadium with a stunning 24-17 win on Saturday in Lincoln after being idle three weeks.
It is the first time since 2018 that UW isn’t ranked in the poll.
“I do believe that in many ways we are partners with (bowl games)," UW coach Paul Chryst said. "They help us and any way we can help them, I think that kind of falls under that’s the right thing to do.”
"We have a one-game championship season against Wisconsin, a major rival," Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck said. "It's so exciting to end the year, a very difficult year."
