Three former University of Wisconsin football players continued their careers in the relaunched XFL this weekend with solid results.
From one former Badger making his first XFL catch to another breaking up a pass, here’s a look at how the former UW standouts performed in Week 2:

After being shut out statistically in Week 1, Tanner McEvoy hauled in his first catch for the Tampa Bay Vipers.
McEvoy caught an 11-yard pass from quarterback Taylor Cornellius in the fourth quarter Sunday against the Seattle Dragons at CenturyLink Field. McEvoy, a 6-foot-6 receiver who also played quarterback and safety at UW, was targeted twice in the game.

In the most exciting game of the weekend, defensive back Darius Hillary made his mark with four total tackles, a quarterback hurry and a pass defended. Hillary, who played for UW from 2012-15, had nine total tackles last week.
Hillary’s St. Louis Battlehawks lost to Houston 28-24, but he tallied two tackles and his pass breakup in the second quarter.

Garret Dooley and the N.Y. Guardians had a rough afternoon Saturday in a 27-0 loss to the D.C. Defenders.
Dooley, who played for UW from 2015-17, didn’t record any statistics and was out for part of the game with an injury. The nature of the injury wasn’t announced, but he did return to the game in the second half.
