One bed sheet banner was topical this year: “The Bulls killed Jimmy Buffett” clung to an aging porch. “Grab the Bulls by the horns” draped itself over the chipped paint of a balcony.
A muggy Saturday ushered in the 2023 Badger football season and with it, hordes of people in red and white, some of it clothing items, some of it sunburn.
Heat-related issues brought 250 people to the on-site cooling centers for medical observation at Saturday's Badgers game, UW police said.

Chuck Elliott rings in his 51st year of Badger football tailgating by playing bartender Saturday for a group of friends in the Choles Floral parking lot on Regent Street. Years ago, he hosted his tailgates in the parking lot of The Regent Apartments, but he said he and his horde of 100 were asked to move along.
