Washington vs. Arizona odds and prediction: Washington -19.5 (-110 or better)
The Washington Huskies are favored by almost three touchdowns in this one. A lot of that has to do with the Huskies’ elite offense which is currently ranked third in the nation.
Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. has established himself as one of the best signal-callers in the nation. He is in the Heisman Trophy conversation and is the X-factor for this Washington Huskies team.
Washington wants to make the playoff this season and Penix Jr. will need to be on his game, especially in conference battles like this one, to lead them there.
The Huskies have had at least two receivers break the 100-yard mark in every game this season. However, the Arizona defense may present a stronger challenge.
The Wildcats are coming off of a road victory against Stanford in a game where defense was the driving factor for victory.
For the Wildcats, the offensive situation is much less ideal. Starting quarterback Jayden de Laura suffered an ankle injury in Week 4 college football action. It remains to be seen to what extent he will be able to participate in this game against Washington.
Even if de Laura is feeling good enough to go, he’s likely going to be limited mobility-wise on that injured ankle.
If he does sit the game out, Noah Fifta will take over. While Fifta has looked good in limited game action, he is very inexperienced and the bright lights of a big PAC-12 matchup could be difficult to handle.
Look for the Huskies to get off to an early start with some long passes and never look back, easily winning this one by more than 19 points. Take the Huskies on the spread at 19.5 (-110) and don’t look back.
