We’ve gone 14-4 with our parlay picks over the last two weeks of football, and we’re back to provide our best bets and parlays for Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season.
NFL Week 6 picks and parlays: Look at the Seahawks, Lions, and Ravens (+726 or better)
- Seahawks ML at Bengals
- Lions -3 at Buccaneers
- Ravens -4 vs. Titans
The Seahawks enjoyed a nice week of rest in Week 5, while Joe Burrow’s head coach continues to deny that that is exactly what his injured quarterback needs. Burrow just played his best game of the year, but the Seahawks have scored 11.2 more points per game than the Bengals while allowing the same amount (22.8 per game). Geno Smith is also Pro Football Focus’ ninth-ranked QB this year, while Burrow is 20th.
The Lions have, for the second year running, been excellent against the spread and are 4-1. Tampa Bay is 3-1 ATS and was given last week off, but the Lions have won three straight games by an average margin of 15.3 points. Their offense is much more explosive than the Bucs’, and their only real weak point is their red zone defense (24th in touchdowns allowed per entry).
The Ravens would be 5-0 if not for a blown call in overtime against the Indianapolis Colts and the third-most drops in a game since 2017 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lamar Jackson is PFF’s second-graded QB, and the defense ranks second in points and yards allowed. The Titans are only 26th in scoring and both Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry are having arguably the worst years of their career.
NFL Week 6 favorite parlay: Bet the 49ers, Dolphins, and Eagles (+113 or better)
- 49ers ML at Browns
- Dolphins ML vs. Panthers
- Eagles ML at Jets
The 49ers look like the best team in the league by a wide margin. The spread opened at 3.5 points and is already up to five and could be even higher by the time kick-off rolls around, but they still should win. After all, they’re undefeated with an average margin of victory of 19.8 points, while the Browns have an excellent defense but little offense.
The Dolphins are the antithesis of the Browns and have the most explosive offense in the league (and score 36.2 points per game). Their defense leaves a lot to be desired, but they’re facing a Panthers squad that ranks 25th in points and 28th in points allowed.
The Eagles’ performances haven’t been as impressive as their 5-0 record suggests, but Jalen Hurts just had his best game of the season, and the defense only allowed 14 points to a decent Los Angeles Rams offense. The Jets are coming off an emotional victory on the road and still have Zach Wilson, who’s 29th in QBR, under center.
NFL underdog parlay: Long shot bets for Week 6 (+1036 or better)
- Texans ML vs. Saints
- Patriots ML at Raiders
- Bears ML vs. Vikings
The Texans have finally been competitive for the first time in years. C.J. Stroud is enjoying the longest start to a career without an interception, and the team ranks 11th in scoring defense and 12th in scoring offense. The Saints are strong on defense but score the 22nd-most points per game and struggle to run the ball.
The Patriots just lost 34-0 nothing and have to fly across the country to face the Raiders — so why pick them? Bill Belichick will face Josh McDaniels, his former assistant, in a week the Raiders are recovering from playing on Monday Night Football. As horrible as the Pats’ numbers are (32nd in scoring, 25th in points allowed), the Raiders aren’t much better (29th in scoring, 20th in points allowed).
It’s still too early to definitively call, but the Bears’ woeful start to the season might be behind them. Justin Fields in the last two weeks has a stat line of 699 total yards, eight touchdowns, and one interception, and the defense put together two of its three best games. The Vikings are 1-4 and will be without Justin Jefferson, who is responsible for 38.1% of their passing offense.
