NFL bettors have not found as much success against the spread as they have through five weeks since at least 2005. Let’s see if we can roll that momentum over into prop betting.
Christian McCaffrey player props: Anytime touchdown scorer (-163 or better)
McCaffrey anytime TD is essentially mandatory betting. The San Francisco 49ers’ star running back and top-10 MVP candidate has broken past the pylons eight times this season and has scored in 14 straight games.
The Cleveland Browns have an excellent defense (first in yards, second in points allowed), but Deshaun Watson’s status is in jeopardy, which could lead to their defense spending lots of time on the field. McCaffrey is also the head of the spear and will get a ton of work regardless of circumstance.
Stefon Diggs TD props: Anytime touchdown scorer (+100 or better)
Diggs is on pace for a career year in touchdowns scored. He’s grabbed five in five games, including four in the last two, and has more than 100 yards receiving in four of five games.
The Buffalo Bills are -14 against the New York Giants and the largest favorites of Week 6. The G-Men are 29th in points allowed per game (30.6) and top cornerback Deonte Banks is questionable with an injury.
D.J. Moore props: Anytime touchdown scorer (+160 or better)
Moore is another wideout with five touchdowns on the year, but he has scored in three straight weeks. The Chicago Bears’ passing offense has roared to life in recent weeks with Justin Fields tossing 617 yards, eight touchdowns and only one interception in his last two outings.
Moore leads the Bears in every major receiving category and has gotten 19 targets the last two weeks.
The Minnesota Vikings, meanwhile, rank 22nd in passing yards and 28th in passing touchdowns allowed per game and are down Justin Jefferson, which means their defense will be on the field more than usual.
Drake London scoring props: Anytime touchdown scorer (+205 or better)
Excluding Week 1 when he only received one target, London has caught two touchdowns in his last four games. He’s gotten 30 targets and caught two touchdowns during that stretch, and just had a season-high 78 receiving yards last week.
The Washington Commanders are one of four teams allowing at least two passing touchdowns per game. Rookie corner Emmanuel Forbes is one of two players to allow 400+ receiving yards, and the past two No.1 WRs the Commanders faced (Moore and A.J. Brown) caught 405 yards and five touchdowns.
