Travis Kelce anytime TD scorer (-110 or better)
Kelce scored 18 touchdowns in 17 postseason games with Mahomes, including two of three Super Bowls. He also caught three TDs in the last two weeks and is facing a Niners defense that allowed an average of 29 points this postseason.
Kelce leads the Chiefs in postseason targets (27), receptions (23), receiving yards (262) and receiving TDs (three). He’s the most trusted and most experienced pass-catcher on the offense and will likely be at the center of everything they do, particularly near the goal line.
Brock Purdy over 0.5 interceptions (-130 or better)
Purdy played two top-five pass defenses, the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens, and threw at least one interception in both (five in total). He also threw a pick in the NFC Championship Game and had several sure-fire picks dropped by the Green Bay Packers’ defense in the Divisional Round.
The Chiefs picked off two of three QBs they faced in the playoffs and can force Purdy to speed up his progressions, seeing as they rank second in sacks per game.
Christian McCaffrey under 18.5 rushing attempts (+100 or better)
McCaffrey carried the rock 20 times in the NFC Championship Game but went under this total in six straight games before that. He also cashed the under in 11 of 18 combined regular and postseason games and is entering an unfavorable matchup.
The Chiefs just shut down the Ravens’ top-ranked rushing attack and have succeeded in forcing every offense they faced in the postseason to play a style of game that worked against their best interest. Plus, a Purdy interception (as we predict) could lead to the Niners falling behind and being forced into throwing the ball more than they’d prefer.
DraftKings Super Bowl game props
- Chiefs moneyline (+105 or better): The Chiefs are playing their best football of the season, while the Niners were arguably outplayed in both of their playoff games. Mahomes is 10-3 straight-up as an underdog, and teams that weren’t favored are 9-5 in Super Bowls since 2010.
- First score after 6:00 minutes elapsed (-135 or better): Neither one of these teams is very explosive, and both teams are likely to come out with the intent of establishing the run, which should help drain the clock. The Chiefs cashed this bet in 15 of their last 22 games, while the Niners also cashed in three of their last four (but were 7-12 overall).
