Baylor vs Oregon State odds, preview and picks for NIT Season Tip-Off at MSG
In this matchup of Baylor and Oregon State, we like the team from Texas to come out ahead and cover the spread while doing so. Baylor is ranked in the top-15 and already has an impressive win over Auburn on their resume. Ja’Kobe Walter is leading the way with 18 points per game and will cause trouble for Oregon State.
Baylor’s 90 points per game are top 25 in the nation and we expect that they will be able to easily put up similar numbers against an Oregon State defense that has not been that strong so far this year. The Beavers’ team defense ranks fourth from the bottom in the Pac-12 in points allowed per game.
RayJ Dennis has also been very strong for Baylor so far this year. He’s one of the better guards in the conference and is leading the Bears in both assists and steals. Look for Dennis to control the game’s pace against Oregon State and help lead Baylor to victory.
Take Baylor to cover the spread (-16, -110) as its high-octane offense will be too much for the Beavers to handle. While Oregon State is one of the better teams that Baylor has faced thus far, we expect the Bears to get off to a strong start to their NIT season as they easily cover this spread.
