The crash and death remain under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The driver refused to comply with commands to get out of the vehicle, so roads were closed in the area and a local school was moved to secure status.
The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was brought in to conduct an independent investigation, and when that was done, Adam Rice was arrested.
