STOUGHTON — Peer into the gaping maw of a multi-tongued, silicone-faced monster and you may see within a pair of gleeful eyes. Look past the sulfuric-yet-clinical scent emanating from a blood-soaked clown and see his nose piercing or a crooked smile.

The staff area at Screamin’ Acres in Stoughton still has the feel of a haunted house. Organizers work all year to make sure they give visitors the fright they are seeking in October.
“Anything that’s just strange and bizarre really gets me,” says Kyle Kosiboski.
Props are stored behind the scenes at Screamin’ Acres. This month, the property will come alive to delight and haunt visitors.
