Highlights of Gov. Tony Evers' 2021-23 budget proposal

Gov. Tony Evers' proposed his 2021-23 spending plan Tuesday. It now heads to the Republican-controlled Legislature for likely major revisions.

Evers' proposal includes several items from the Democratic wish list: Some were included in his first budget and tossed out by Republicans, such as background checks for all gun purchases and driver's licenses for immigrants living in the country illegally.
