Now it's the Republicans turn: Wisconsin GOP readies to renominate Donald Trump

Various media reports indicate the event will feature: President Donald Trump; Vice President Mike Pence; First Lady Melania Trump; U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa; U.S. Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina; former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley; House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California; the parents of Kayla Mueller, a humanitarian aid worker killed by ISIS in 2015; Alice Johnson, whose life sentence Trump commuted at the urging of Kim Kardashian West; Nick Sandmann, whose tense interaction with a Native American at a Washington D.C. park went viral; Mark and Patricia McCloskey, a St. Louis couple facing felony charges for pointing their guns at Black Lives Matter protesters outside their home.

Trump is expected to be nominated on Monday and deliver his acceptance speech from the White House on Thursday. Speakers and special events will be held from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., reportedly in other metro areas, and the program will feature in-person and virtual speakers and a 10 p.m. "nightly surprise."
