The barn was moved three miles to a new location where it now hosts events, programs and even the occasional church service.

The Vesperman round barn is believed to have been constructed prior to 1922 in the Grant County community of Hurricane and, after last year's move, has a new roof and foundation.

June Wieland Mulvenna of Walworth, left, lived as a young girl on the farm where the century-old round barn was built in the community of Hurricane. Mulvenna was shown around recently by Morgan Spitzer, an employee with Vesperman Farms where the barn now resides, and Bruce Vesperman, whose son, Kyle, purchased the building in 2022.

The round barn is among several buildings moved over the years to Vesperman Farms near Lancaster. This carriage house behind Bruce Vesperman and his son, Kyle, had been at the hospital in Lancaster.
