Day 10 of protests against police violence in Madison featured a grill out and block party, public defenders marching for black lives and "DEFUND POLICE" painted in giant letters on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard — leading from the city and county government buildings straight to the Capitol.

A key demand of protesters over the last two weeks over the killing of George Floyd — "defund police" — was painted on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between the Madison Municipal Building and the City-County Building, at top, during a protest Monday night. Organizers did not seek city permission for the project.
