Each year in mid-August, Downtown Madison becomes a flurry of moving trucks and terraces become temporary landfills as UW-Madison students move out of their off-campus apartments.

Bigalke is leaving items she no longer needs on the curb for the taking before she and her family make the drive back to Appleton.
