“This is an important and historic step forward in ensuring dignity and respect for all Americans," U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin said in a joint statement.
Wisconsin's latest fiscal outlook projects the state will wrap up the current fiscal year with about half a billion dollars more than previous projections.
Spending in last year's gubernatorial election was 77% higher than the almost $93.1 million spent in the 2018 governor's race.
