Watch now: The story of Al Capone at Harry’s restaurant in Lake Geneva
The days of Al Capone
LEFT: A photo inside Harry’s shows what the restaurant used to look like. George Chironis, who opened the restaurant in 1923, used to tell his children the story about when notorious gangster Al Capone would visit the restaurant. His bodyguards would sit in the front table that is empty in this photo. Capone would sit in the back looking toward the entrance so he could watch what was going on.
