Representatives from Holy Communion Episcopal Church, 320 Broad St. in Lake Geneva, recently donated about $5,220 to Badger High School to help graduating seniors pay off past-due lunch fee and activity fee balances. About 30 students received funding. The Rev. Ryan Delaney said the funding came from the church’s rector’s discretionary account and through donations from church members, friends and family members. Delaney said he received a list of past-due fees that students owed from Badger High School officials. Superintendent Peter Wilson said he appreciates the church members for donating the funding for the students. Last December, church members donated about $2,000 to Central-Denison Elementary School students to help them pay for school lunch debt. Delaney said church officials plan to continue to assist local students in need in the future.
