Green Bay Packer legend Donald Driver made a stop in Lake Geneva, July 6, to shoot a commercial for Visit Lake Geneva, highlighting the city as a tourist attraction.
Scenes for the commercial were shot at several Downtown businesses, the Riviera, Riviera Beach and aboard the U.S. Mailboat Walworth, where Driver tried his hand at mailboat jumping.

Williams Bay-based Gage Marine, a full-service marine dealer with two locations in the Lake Geneva area, has announced the acquisition of Minocqua-based Stengle Marine in Oneida County. Stengl, founded in 1978, has served boaters in the Minocqua area for 45 years with leading boat brands MasterCraft and Barletta, and repair and storage services. Upon acquisition, Stengl Marine will become Gage Marine, Minocqua.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced March 11 that fishing tournaments that are statewide or regional in nature, seasonal without specific fishing dates or that have fewer than 20 boats or 100 participants will be required to register with the DNR starting Monday, April 1. Registration of these tournaments will be free of charge.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has released its 2023 fish stocking numbers for inland waterbodies and the Great Lakes. More than 6 million fish were stocked in 2023.
