Lake Geneva officials have decided to hold off on whether to increase the city’s room tax rate from 5 percent to 8 percent until next March. The tax rate increase would affect local hotels such as The Cove.

Bella Vista Suites in downtown Lake Geneva would be one of the local lodging facilities that would be affected by a proposed room tax rate increase; however, city aldermen have decided to hold off voting on the rate increase until March 2021.
