The Lake Geneva Tourism Commission has awarded a $225,000 grant to the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA to upgrade ballfields at Veterans Park.

Michael Coolidge, sports operations director for the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA, said the ballfields at Veterans Park are currently shaped like lightbulbs, but the YMCA plans to renovate the fields to make them shaped like baseball diamonds.
