4 Lake Geneva shops that quietly shut down over the last year that we miss
As summer approaches there is so much to look forward to. But there are also a few laments as well. Here is a list of four Downtown Lake Geneva restaurant and shops that quietly shut down over the last year that we will miss.
Drink Wisconsinbly
The Drink Wisconsinbly retail store in downtown Lake Geneva at 223 Cook Street offered a selection of T-shirts that features the company’s logo. It opened November 2020 but has since closed its doors in August 2021 in Lake Geneva. However they have a location in Egg Harbor in Door County.Â
Aerial Stunt Kites
Aerial Stunt Kites, 121 Wrigley Drive, was a landmark business on Wrigley Drive for years providing kites, games and beach toys for families across from Riviera Beach. It has since closed down.Â
Wicked Poke Hut
The Wicked Poke Hut, 120 Broad St. in Lake Geneva, opened in March 2021 and was very popular for its first few months with its selection of Hawaiian poke bowls that included fresh seafood. But it shut its doors in December. A taco hut is expected to open there. Â
Lilypots
The popular flower shop, Lilypots, 605 W Main St, in Downtown Lake Geneva, had been located next to the Bottle Shop. The location has since shut down.Â

Time to relax
This fun statue of a bear relaxing can be seen along the shore path between Fontana and Black Point, as you walk along the south shore.Â
Fall colors
Taking a walk along the shore path in the fall was the perfect way to end the 21-mile journey around the lake. In many parts the fall colors were at peak and amazing to see.Â
Summer fun

Sunset near Big Foot Beach
Here is a photo of the sunset over Geneva Lake near Big Foot Beach. There is nothing better than a walk along the shore path as the sunsets over the lake.
Site of Oak Lodge
This home was built in 2009 at the site of the former Morton Salt Family estate known as Oak Lodge. It’s one of the beautiful mansions along the southern shore path between Downtown Lake Geneva and Stone Manor.

Entering the lake shore path from Lake Geneva, headed toward Big Foot Beach, is a sight to behold. This entrance to the path at Campbell Street is beautiful all year long, but especially in the summer.
Santa along the shore path
Santa can be seen occasionally along the lake path, collecting his naughty and nice list from the Lake Geneva mail boat.
A late summer bloom
Flowers bloom along the shore path between Fontana and George Williams College in late summer.
