Team North Dakota: The Nemean Lion

Jay Ray w/Snowkraft team of Jay Ray, Mike Nelson and Josh Zeis from North Dakota sculpted The Nemean Lion and took home first place out of 15 teams in the competition Saturday, Feb. 4.

Team Alaska: When Love Hurts

Block 1 outside The Riviera in Lake Geneva featured the AK Department of Snow team of Paul Hanis, Patrick Boonstra and Tom Lewardo out of Alaska. Team finished in second place.

Team Wisconsin 1: You Are Not Alone

Team Wisconsin 1: You Are Not Alone

The sculpture You Are Not Alone was created by the team Sculptora Borealis and Wisconsin’s own Joshua Jakubowski, Robert Lechtenberg and Michael Lechtenberg. Sculptora Borealis finished in third place this this year after winning the whole competition in 2022.

Team Wisconsin 2: Gracious Struggle

Up to Snow Good’s team of Mike Austin, Jeffrey Shawhan and Jim Malkowskii from Wisconsin created the Gracious Struggle sculpture that represents sea turtles.

Team Colorado: Koi

Team Colorado: Koi

Team Snicecarvings consisting of Keith Martin, Sean Spainhower and Cole Bellomo out of Colorado sculpted a koi fish, which is a symbol of love and affection in Japan.

Team Cave People from Space out of Illinois consisting of Kelly Madison, Brian Hierstein and Kyle Wolfe create the Sculpture Otterly Loud.

Team Illinois 2: The Quest for Bachelorette

BELOW: Two Blondes and a Burnette, a team out of Illinois consisting of Danica Rogers, Mark Rogers and George Burnette, created the sculpture titled the Quest for Bachelorette.

Team Minnesota 1: Ngig Nibi Ganawendan (Otter Water Protector)

Team Kwe consisting of Heather Friedli, Maggie Thompson and Juliana Welter out of Minnesota created a sculpture to honor their Anishinabbe heritage. Team Kwe was the only all indigenous team to make it to the U.S. National Snow Sculpting Championship.

Sculpture Becoming Björn was created by members Bill Wegwerth, Weston Johnson and Dan Ross from Team Sno Van Gogh out of Minnesota.

Granite State Snow Sculptors that consists of Joh Woodard, Jeff Brown and Glenn Woodard out of New Hampshire created the One Bear Band sculpture
