St. Francis de Sales Parish School students and staff recently toured downtown Lake Geneva to view some works of art. The students from the school’s visual arts program participated in the Mural Art Walk Field Trip on April 29. The murals were painted and installed on buildings in the downtown area. The students had an opportunity to view the “Awe of the Lake” mural at the Lake Geneva Public Library, 918 W. Main St; “Lake Geneva Blooms” mural at the Candle Mercantile, 870 W. Main St.; “Indigenous Roots” mural, 244 Broad St.; “Greetings from Lake Geneva” mural, 222 Center St.; and “Reflections of Lake Geneva” mural, 255 Mill St. Several of the artists were on hand to talk with the students about how they developed their murals.
