There will be plenty of opportunities in Racine and Kenosha counties to catch a fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day.

With temperatures rising, the time to sit poolside and beach is just days away!

A formal dedication ceremony for the newly renovated playground at Old Settlers Park in Paddock Lake is being planned this month. It will be held at the park at 24100 75th St. (Highway 50), at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 11.

Residents affected by the recent flooding along the Fox River and elsewhere are encouraged to utilize free well-testing services offered by Kenosha County Public Health. Local governments have filed declarations of emergency as a result of recent flooding.

The 250th anniversary of the country will be fully on display across events for the Fourth of July weekend in Kenosha and Racine counties. Parades, music, fireworks and more are planned in communities across the area.
