Four area organizations recently received a $2,500 donation as part of VISIT Lake Geneva’s Restaurant Week Charity Check program. During Restaurant Week, which was held April 18–26, diners at participating restaurants cast more than 4,000 votes for 20 nominated organizations. The four nonprofits receiving the highest number of votes were Dementia Friendly Community Initiative, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, The Bridge Food & Diaper Bank and Tree House Child and Family Center. The organizations were honored at VISIT Lake Geneva’s May 19 partnership meeting held at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa’s Mountain Top Chalet. Tito’s Handmade Vodka sponsored the Charity Check program.
The Dementia Friendly Community Initiative was one of four local nonprofits to receive funding from this year’s Restaurant Week Charity Check program.
