In photos: A tour of the SC Johnson Wax Headquarters
The SC Johnson Wax Headquarters are reopening for tours after almost two years without them. The first of the resumed public tours was scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022.

Johnson Waxbird
SC Johnson’s newest building is called the Waxbird Commons because it's named after the company’s first plane, the Johnson Waxbird, pictured here in January 2022 inside the building.
Fibber McGee and Molly
Photos and advertisements from American radio comedy series Fibber McGee and Molly decorate a wall in the Waxbird Commons building on the SC Johnson Wax Headquarters campus. The series ran from 1935-1959 and was sponsored by SC Johnson & Son, Inc.
Plastic in the oceans
A large TV screen with animated text and images depicts the problem of plastic polluting the oceans in the Gene's Gallery part of the Waxbird Commons building on the SC Johnson Wax Headquarters campus, 1525 Howe St. SC Johnson is working to solve this problem.
Loading dock meeting rooms
Former loading dock spaces have been converted into private meeting rooms located in the Waxbird Commons building on the SC Johnson Wax Headquarters campus, 1525 Howe St.
Globe

Research Tower
Some old fashioned lab equipment and SC Johnson products litter countertops inside the Research Tower on the SC Johnson Wax Headquarters campus, 1525 Howe St. Raid, Glade, Off and Pledge are some SC Johnson products developed inside the tower within the first 10 years it was open, from 1950-1960.
Fortaleza Hall
Plants native to South and Central America grow along a wall as a long fountain along the ceiling imitates rainfall pouring into a reflection pool inside the Fortaleza Hall building on the SC Johnson Wax Headquarters campus, 1525 Howe St.
Replicas
Replicas of SC Johnson Wax buildings made of LEGOs and other materials are displayed inside the Fortaleza Hall building on the company's campus, 1525 Howe St.
