If the season ended heading into Wednesday, the Milwaukee Brewers would face either the Chicago Cubs or Philadelphia Phillies in the National League Division Series, but with the Cubs, Phillies and Padres all holding identical records, not to mention the Dodgers breathing down Milwaukee's neck, that's a tenuous arrangement.
