Buggin' Out
Big Balloon Adventure returns this month to Williams Bay
WILLIAMS BAY — What has over 100,000 balloons and is more than a little buggy?
The third annual Balloon Adventure returns March 19-29 to the showroom at Pier 290, 1 Liechty Drive, Williams Bay.
Buggin' Out is the theme for this year's event, which is presented by the 531 Fund to support Camp Timber-lee.
"This event is about more than balloons," said Kimberly Voller, executive director of the 531 Fund. "It's about creating joy while making a real difference."
Intended for all ages, the Balloon Adventure will transform the Pier 290 showroom into "a colorful, crawl-worth world of oversized bugs and playful surprises," a press release states.
Artists will use over 100,000 balloons, twisting and tying them together into towering, bug-themed installations.
Guests can also explore hands-on science elements, take photos and more.
While event organizers have watched Balloon Adventure grow into a must-see attraction, they hope even more people attend this year to support Camp Timber-lee.
"Support from the Balloon Adventure helps make Camp Timber-lee possible for so many families," said Josh Olson, development director of Camp Timber-lee. "It opens the door for experiences that build confidence, connection and lifelong memories."
The immersive world was created by Wisconsin Balloon Décor, which specializes in large-scale installations and playful design.
"This year's Balloon Adventure theme was designed to spark imagination at every turn," said Sara Meyer, owner and creative lead of Wisconsin Balloon Decor. "We wanted to create a space with both big, jaw-dropping moments and small, delightful surprises. Places where kids and adults alike can slow down, explore and let their curiosity take over."
Throughout the event, special experiences will be available, such as Afterglow Rave, The Great Balloon Pub Crawl, Blockbuster Adventure and The Big Pop finale.
