Williams Bay varsity boys basketball senior Quinn Peyer reached his career 1,000th point in one of his final high school matchups in an away game against Monticello on Feb. 23.
Peyer led the team with 32 individual points in the game where the Bulldogs won 76-44.
"Quinn reaching 1,000 career points is a tremendous accomplishment and one that is well earned," Athletic Director Hank Johnson said. "What stands out most is the time and commitment he has invested in developing his game. This milestone is not something that just happened for him — it is the result of countless hours in the offseason in the gym refining his skills."
He is only the ninth player in school history to earn this accomplishment.
"Beyond the points, Quinn's dedication, discipline, and leadership have had a strong impact on our program," Johnson said. "We are very proud of the effort he has invested and the example he sets for younger athletes in our school community."
The Bulldogs start conference sectionals Tuesday, Mar. 3, with their first game against Faith Christian.

Big Foot boys varsity basketball finished off their regular season with a night to remember, honoring 10 seniors and coming away with a 79-50 win against Brodhead on Feb. 26.
Every senior on the team had minutes on the court in front of a large home crowd chanting their names and holding up their pictures.
Senior Jayden Paul led the Chiefs with 20 points, followed by junior Trevor Kooyenga with 14 and fellow senior Owen Smith with 12 points.
"I think the guys played really relaxed," Head coach Rick Schoenbeck said. "We pressed up most of the game or a lot of the game and that's this style. We got to be moving around and that's when good things happen. So, I'm glad for the guys and they go out in their home game that way."

The Badger boys swim team finished their season at State Championships on Feb. 21 in Waukesha South High School pool, taking home third place overall in the competition, as well as an All-American title.
The 200 Medley Relay team composed of Steeler Whowell, Will Larkin, Hunter McKittrick and Travis Warren earned the All-American title for an incredible 1:31.09 time.
Three other events were under consideration for All-American: the 100 backstroke by Whowell, 100 breaststroke by Larkin, and the 400 free relay team that included the same athletes as the 200 medley relay.
There were 24 competitors in the 9 events the Badger athletes raced in, with the Badgers all placing top 10 in each event.
"It was one of the most exciting meets I've coached," Head coach Steele Whowell said. "I'm just really proud of the team and happy that they finished on such a high note, happy to see all their hard work pay off."
The Badgers also recorded new team records in five of the nine events.
