The Chief-Dogs were evenly matched, with the goal coming in the 33rd minute by Sophia Stewart.

A multitude of shots were taken on goal by midfielders and forwards alike such as Stewart, Janet Castaneda, Kaylie Patterson, Ava Hanna, and Haylie Wanat, but were unable to make it past Edgerton's goalkeeper.
Lucia Martinez and Gracie Price held down the defense on the Chief-Dog side of the field, with goalkeeper Nora Nickel keeping the score set at 0 with multiple shots from the Crimson Tide.

Fellow Sophomore Bennett Ades closed out the game, pitching one inning and facing the final three batters.
The first inning ended 4-0 in favor of the Bulldogs, but it was a hard fought battle every inning afterwards.
Bulldogs trailed by 7 runs at the middle of the 5th and answered with 12 of their own runs.
With the score going into the 7th inning 27-18, Deerfield was unable to comeback.
Four Bulldogs achieved 4 runs in the game, Bennett Ades, Freshman Ethan Mulhall, Junior Ethan Weigel, and Senior Evan Welsh.
Softball
Senior Sarena Brown started on the mound for the Bulldogs before switching at the 5th inning with fellow senior Kalie Stanek, who was playing centerfield.
The only run scored by Parkview was in the 4th inning.
Junior Maisie Smith had several key hits that kept the Bulldogs scoring in the game.
Head coach Marty Count mentioned that the team was out a few key starters but several freshmen stepped up who have worked hard and got the job done. "Yesterday, we beat Catholic Central," Coach Count said about the playoff run. "We run-ruled them in 5 innings, 17-1, and they are in our seeding conference, so that'll help us move up. We're really pushing to get a home game right now for the playoffs."
The Bulldogs will be moving into playoff games in the upcoming weeks.

The Lake Geneva Badger Softball team played a conference series against Burlington on May 5 at home and May 7 at Burlington, ultimately splitting the series with each team winning at home.
After a slow start for the Badgers on Tuesday, the team was able to bounce back, scoring one run in the second and third innings and four runs in the fifth ending the game 6-2.
With Miah Butinas on the mound for all seven innings, she had two earned runs, 19 strikeouts, and one home run scored against her.
"Miah Butinas had a walked player score, which made for kind of an interesting mix at the beginning of the game, but she toughed it out, got herself out of a couple of messes," Head Coach Chelsea Miller said. "So I'm really proud of her for hanging through those."
The big hitter of the game was Claire Polyock, who hit a solo home run in the third inning.
"This team, we live in the same area, so a lot of these girls play travel ball together," Coach Miller said. "A win is always kind of just extra sweet, because there's some respectful rivalries."
The game on Thursday ended in a 5-4 loss for the Badgers.
Lillian Butinas hit a home run during the first inning, bringing herself and Miah Butinas in for two runs.
Miah Butinas was on the mound again for all innings, with three earned runs against her, seven strikeouts, and three walks.
