Badger Baseball celebrates the 6-5 win against Elkhorn by home
plate.
Senior Logan Levitt scores the final run of the game against
Elkhorn on May 15.
Badger Baseball hosted senior night against Elkhorn on Friday, May 15, with the 6-5 win going to the Badgers in the bottom of the seventh inning.
The Badgers started out the first inning with four runs and kept the score 4-0 until the 5th inning when the Elks came back to tie the score.
Both teams brought the score to a 5-5 tie in the sixth inning.
Ultimately the Badgers came out on top by way of a walk off wild pitch brought home senior Logan Levitt.
Sophomore Troy Hibbard IV pitched almost the entire game, with Senior Owen Skilling coming in for the final few batters.
Some notable changes from recent games was the catcher switch, junior Calvin Ecklund was catching while sophomore Tim O'Grady moved over to second base.
"We've been preaching all year to get all three phases of the game with pitching, defense, and we got a great pitching performance, didn't really move up offensively, but, you know, we're staying in the game offensively," Head Coach Nick Hughes said. "And then, you know, they had that big blow, where they got four runs, then they took the lead, and we just cut the lead, and we had a good situation in the bottom of the seven there with the top of our order coming up."

Big Foot/Williams Bay had a fantastic Senior Night game on Tuesday, May 12 against the East Troy Trojans, extending their winning streak to four games in a row.
The Chief-Dogs won the game 4-0 with two goals from senior Mya Gonzalez, a St. Norbert's College Women's Soccer commit, and a goal each for senior Sophia Stewart and junior Jacki Rambatt.
The first half was spent mostly on the Trojan side of the field, with the Chief-Dog offense working overtime to make offensive plays, achieving two goals in the half.
Freshman Callie Anderson really proved herself with a lot of varsity minutes in the game playing outside midfield and being a player that teammates can count on down the line.
All seniors on the team started in commemoration of the night's theme, with many giving good passes, assists or goals of the game.
The second half of the game was a bit more defensive for the ChiefDogs, with senior Gracie Price and junior Lucia Martinez keeping the ball controlled in the backfield and sophomore goalkeeper Meta Akerley having several good saves.
Big Foot/Williams Bay went on to play against Monroe on Thursday, May 14, winning the game 7-0 and extending the streak to five games. They go on to play Lakeside Lutheran at home on May 15.
