Mercyhealth accepting applications for autism support grants
Mercyhealth Foundation representatives are accepting grant applications for its 2026 Autism Support Fund third-quarter grant cycle.
The fund offers financial assistance for families who live with or care for children with autism.
In May, Mercyhealth opened its newest autism center, Mercyhealth Autism Center–Beloit, 1400 E. Inman Parkway.
“We are excited to expand autism services in Beloit, adding to our existing centers in Janesville and Walworth to better meet the needs of residents throughout the area. Over the last several years, we have seen an increased demand for autism services. To meet the need, we have expanded treatment options, including both in-home and clinic-based applied behavior analysis services for children,” Belinda Wellnitz, manager of the Mercyhealth Autism Centers, said in a press release.
To qualify for the Autism Support Fund, applicants must present documentation of a verified diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder, a completed application and necessary financial documentation.
Documents must be presented on or before Friday, July 31.
“At Mercyhealth Foundation, we are dedicated to supporting individuals and families impacted by autism,” said Jennifer Johns, Mercyhealth Foundation director. “Through our Autism Support Fund, we provide vital resources that enhance care, education and overall quality of life. We encourage eligible families and organizations to apply during our quarterly grant cycles so we can continue reaching those who need it most. Together, we can create meaningful change for individuals with autism and their communities.”
For more information about the grant, contact Jennifer Johns at 608-755-8821.
