It's not just snow sculpting at Lake Geneva Winterfest. Now
over 30 years old, the wintertime event brings thousands to the
area with its snow sculpting competition, the Downtown Ice
Sculpture Walk and Bonfires on the Beach. At the Riviera Beach is
where people can warm up during the five-day Winterfest and take in
some literally hot performances by Fox Valley Fire Arts.

on Saturday Feb.14.

The Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra's Celebrate the Love gala will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Abbey Resort, Harbormaster Ballroom, 269 Fontana Boulevard in Fontana.
The event will include cocktails, dinner and dessert, orchestra concert, silent auction items, and dancing to the LGSO Swing Band featuring local singer, Sam Barrett. The evening starts at 5 p.m. with cocktails and live music by small ensembles.
Attendees will be able to peruse a variety of silent and live auction items, which include jewelry from China West and a tour of Lake Geneva on a privatelyowned yacht.
The Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra off ers music and music education programs to the southeastern Wisconsin area.
Orchestra members host free school assemblies and summer concerts, and perform classical, as well as popular, music.
Guest artists in the past have included Rachel Barton Pine, Chris Martin and Frank Almond, concertmaster of Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
LGSO has performed many times at Music by the Lake including "Fantasia" with technicians from Disney running the animation.
The group is composed of volunteer musicians under the direction of David Anderson. Anderson won the Outstanding Community Orchestra Conductor Award in 2018-19.
