TOWN OF LYONS — Fireworks every Sunday. An America-inspired pop-up tavern. Welcome to summer at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa.
Located at 7036 Grand Geneva Way in the town of Lyons, the resort debuts Tavern 1776 on Friday, June 26. Grand Geneva is near the Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark.
The pop-up tavern honors America's 250th birthday through "festive dining, craft cocktails and classic summer fun," according to a Grand Geneva press release.
Running through August 2, Tavern 1776 is lit by lantern light and lined with historic flags, weathered wood and portraits of the founding fathers. It is a place where guests can gather, raise a glass and celebrate America's 250th birthday in true revolutionary fashion.
The pop-up features old-timey, backyard-inspired bites like Cornbread & Drippings — cast iron, honey butter, sea salt — and The Provision, or short rib sliders with caramelized onion and aged cheddar.
Also offered are celebratory drinks such as Taxation Without Representation, which is spiced rum, passion fruit, and citrus; and live entertainment.
Beyond Tavern 1776, Grand Geneva will continue with Sunday night fireworks through Labor Day Weekend.
Guests can also capture have a complimentary professional family photo session every Sunday from 4-5 p.m., lakeside, at the resort.
Summer at Grand Geneva will also look like Sunday pool parties, Glow Golf, and the debut of Wee Nip, the resort's new short course for golfers of all ages and skill levels.
