D'Lite Duo — 5:30-8:30 p.m., Pier 290, 1 Liechty Drive, Williams Bay, pier290.com/ events. Lake Geneva-area musical act frequently performs throughout the region. at Pier 290, D'lite duo also plays Friday, Aug. 28, 7-11 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 29, 7-11 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 30, 12:30-4 p.m.
Blue Rhythm Trio — 6-9 p.m., Maxwell Mansion, 304 S. Wells St., Lake Geneva, staymaxwell.com. Formed by bassist Brad Fell as an instrumental jazz group in 2017, the trio now plays a mix of jazz, blues, rock and pop. Current lineup, according to the Maxwell Mansion website, is Fell, bass/ vocals; Scott Huffman, guitar/vocals; and John swank, drums.
ABBA Revisited: ABBA Tribute — 7 p.m., Belfry Music Theatre, 3601 Highway 67, Delavan, belfrymusictheatre.com. since 2001, this tribute act has recreated the look and sound of the Swedish pop group from "Las Vegas to Bermuda, Mexico to Dubai and Guatemala," states the website. ABBA Revisited is also scheduled to perform Thursday and Friday, Aug. 27 and 28, also at 7 p.m. tickets $80-98.

Maxwell Street Days: Downtown Lake Geneva — 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Aug. 28-30, various downtown Lake Geneva businesses, downtownlakegeneva.org/events/maxwellstreetdays. annual summer sidewalk sales event is a relaxed market vibe, with al fresco dining, live music and more to compliment the deals on clothing, jewelry, art, books, sporting goods and more. the Lake Geneva BId, downtown Lake Geneva and participating businesses organized. Check the website for a list of those businesses plus a schedule of related activities.
The Piano Men: Elton John vs. Billy Joel — Doors open 6 p.m., show starts 7 p.m., Geneva Stage, 244 Broad St., Lake Geneva, genevastage.com. a tribute to two pop music legends, in two parts. simply Billy will find Brian Harris performing Joel's music. In simply Elton, Harris celebrates the career of the artist behind "Rocket Man" and many other hits. tickets $40-45.
Movie in the Park: "Toy Story 5" — Dusk, Riverview Park, 1588 Mill St., town of Lyons. Free to watch on a big screen in the park, plus free popcorn. guests should bring their own snacks, soft drinks and blankets.
SATURDAY, AUG. 29
Saturdays on the Square — 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Veterans Park, downtown Elkhorn, business-elkhornchamber.com. difficult to believe, but the farmer's market season will be ending soon. For this 15-week market filled with produce, crafts and other products that started on Memorial day, the final date is Saturday, sept. 5. 8th Annual Classic Car Show — 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Mount Zion Christian Church, 2330 State Road 120, Lake Geneva. Prizes will be given for People's Choice, Best in show, Best truck and under 25 Owner. Food trucks will also be there. Call 262248-7097 for more details.
Beer Tasting Train — 5:30 p.m., East Troy Electric Railroad, 2002 Church St., East Troy. a 2-1/2-hour train ride with "heavy hors d'oeuvres while tasting a variety of beers brewed today," according to the railroad's website, easttroyrr.org. an expert from Black Point estate & gardens is expected to lead the tasting. tickets $125 each.
The Petty Kings: A Tribute to Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers — Doors open 6 p.m., show starts 7 p.m., Geneva Stage, genevastage.com. according to the website, this Chicago-based tribute act formed about 10 years ago. expect to hear "American girl," "Free Fallin,'" "I Won't Back down" and many more Petty tunes. tickets $30-35.
Franc D'Ambrosio: New York State of Mind — 7 p.m., Belfry Music Theatre, belfrymusictheatre.com. D'ambrosio will perform music that celebrates the City that never sleeps, including songs by Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, Barry Manilow and even a medley from "the Phantom of the Opera." tickets $78-94.
7th Heaven — 7-9 p.m., Phoenix Park Bandshell, 111 E. Wisconsin St., Delavan, phoenixparkbandshell.com. according to the band's own site, 7thheavenband.com, they have had seven radio hits and toured the world during its 40 years, not to mention appeared on radio and television shows and opened for Bon Jovi, Styx and others. the show is part of the bandshell's Free Concerts in the Park series.

Katie Scullin Duo — 2-5 p.m., Magpie's Lake Geneva, 642 W. Main St., Lake Geneva. Scullin is an award-winning singer-songwriter with a following "from northern Wisconsin all the way to the Texas country scene," states the Facebook event page.
