Fall heats up in Lake Geneva area: Boat show,

Wednesday, Sept. 23
Noah James Hittner — 6-9 p.m., Maxwell Mansion, 304 S. Wells St., Lake Geneva, staymaxwell.com/events. Madison-based performer uses a looper and other effects to attain a full-band sound during his performances, which drawn from influences in folk, blues and hip hop.
Prince Tribute — 7 p.m., Belfry Music Theatre, 3601 Highway 67, Delavan, belfrymusictheatre.com. A show by the Prince Experience, fronted by Gabriel Sanchez, who has been performing hits by the Purple One since 2002. Tickets $80-98. Another show is set at Belfry for Sept. 24 at 7 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 24
Manhattan Short Film Festival — 6-8:30 p.m., Geneva Stage, 244 Broad St., Lake Geneva, genevastage.com/manhattan-film-festival. Opening night for a uniquely global event. According to sources, over 100,000 film lovers in over 500 cities on six continents will attend this screening of 10 festival finalists. Each film is about 18 minutes long, or less. Admittance is free. First come first seated. The event is presented by Geneva Stage; the Lake Geneva, Delavan and Fontana public libraries; and the Barrett Memorial Library in Williams Bay.
The Lake Geneva Humanities Festival — Various times Sept. 24-27, lghumanities.org. Four-day event intends to “spark meaningful conversation, further education, nurture curiosity and support a vibrant community,” according to the website. Each day is a conversation touching on history, music and science. On Sept. 24, at 6:30 p.m., author Richard Munson speaks at the Lake Geneva Public Library. Those behind the 20-page broadsheet “County Highway,” a newspaper “produced by actual human beings,” per the site, will talk Sept. 25, at 7 p.m., at the Church of the Holy Communion. Louisa Waycott performs “The Great American Song Book” with area performer Tom Stanfield and cellist/conductor/teacher Ellen Sanders Sept. 26, at 7 p.m., at the Church of the Holy Communion. Chicago-based architectural writer/author Robert Sharoff will appear with William Zbaren and Tim Samuelson Sept. 27, at 2 p.m., at the Riviera. Friday, Sept. 25
Chapel on the Hill Rummage Sale — 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Chapel on the Hill Community Church, N2440 Ara Glen, town of Linn, 262-245-9122, chapelonthehill1@gmail.com. Day One of a two-day sale, with antiques, household goods, books, CDs and other unique items. Proceeds help the church food pantry. Shoppers who bring in one or more nonperishable food items will receive a 10% discount on sale items.
That ‘70s Band: A Tribute to the Disco Era — Doors 6 p.m., starts 7 p.m., Geneva Stage. From Chicagoland, the tribute act is expected to perform hits by Michael Jackson, Donna Summer, the Bee Gees and more. “These performers don’t just play the music,” states the website. “They are the party.” Tickets $30-35.
Wisconsin Space Program — 7-10 p.m., Jennings Holler, W379 S9674 County Road S, Eagle, jenningsholler.com. Milwaukee area purveyors of psychedelic rock make a rare trip close to Walworth County. I’ve seen them twice this year, and those who enjoy classic rock and jam band sounds should not be disappointed. Also, no cover charge.
Earth, Wind & Fire Tribute — 7 p.m., Belfry Music Theatre. Kalimba returns to the Belfry. Tickets $78-94. Another show is Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 26
The Geneva Lakes Antique and Classic Boat Show — 10 a.m.-5 p.m., The Abbey Resort, 269 Fontana Blvd., genevalakesboatshow.com. An annual tradition, the Blackhawk Chapter of the Antique and Classic Boat Society’s long-running, two-day event features numerous racing boats, cruisers, outboards, runabouts, canoes and contemporary classics. Boat parade scheduled for 4 p.m. Also, live music, an awards ceremony and more. Sept. 27 hours 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
The Abbey Resort’s Oktoberfest — 10 a.m.-6 p.m., The Abbey Resort, theabbeyresort.com/events/oktoberfest-2026. A new event for the resort, which is going on during the Geneva Lakes Antique and Classic Boat Show. German food, beer and live music from Alpine Blast and Big Al Wetzel. Oktoberfest is also Sept. 27, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Kishwauketoe Wine Walk — Noon-5 p.m., Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy, 251 Elkhorn Road, Williams Bay, friendsofknc.org/new-events. Does wine really make a 1.3-mile autumn stroll through Kishwauketoe better? Those age 21 and older can find out firsthand during this event. Artisan Market opens at noon, but the walk itself starts at 2 p.m. An after party with live music, food and beverages is set at Green Grocer, according to the website. Tickets $45, or $50 day of event, if space allows. Register at the site.
Hearts of Gold Annual Blue Jean Ball — 6-10 p.m., Lake Geneva Country Club, W3398 S. Lake Shore Drive, town of Linn, wl.donorperfect.net. Dinner with live and silent auctions, raffles, presentations by scholars from the Forbeck Foundation and more at this celebration of “generosity, hope and the power of collaboration.” Tickets start at $175. Luke Bryan: Word on the Street Tour — 7 p.m., Alpine Valley Music Theatre, 2699 County Road D, town of Lafayette. Country music singer/songwriter closes out the 2026 live music season at Alpine Valley. Also scheduled to appear: Drew Baldridge, Lauren Watkins, Raelynn and DJ Rock. Tickets start at $67.45.
Sunday, Sept. 27
Elkhorn Antique Flea Market — 7 a.m.-3 p.m., Walworth County Fairgrounds, 411 E. Court St., Elkhorn, elkhornantiquefleamarket.com. Over 500 dealers can be found at this event, which was featured on the TV show “Discover Wisconsin.” This is the last date of the year for the market. Free parking. Event rain or shine.
St. Francis de Sales Parish Fall Festival — 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., St. Francis de Sales Parish, 148 W. Main St., Lake Geneva, sfdslg.org/parish/announcements. Music, food, raffles, an auction including a unique item created by the original artist of the Sacred Heart at the center of the window behind the altar at St. Francis de Sales, and more.
