ADAMS ELECTRIC OPENS NEW SHOWROOM
Ribbon-cutting ceremony held to celebrate new facility
An Elkhorn-based business now has a new facility to showcase some of the services that it offers to the community.
Representatives from Adams Electric recently celebrated the opening of their showroom and atrium, located at 801 N. Wisconsin St. in Elkhorn.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony, which was attended by company representatives, area business owners and local officials, was held on April 16.
The showroom highlights lighting and control systems that are manufactured by Lutron Ketra, LLC in Pennsylvania, which clients may have installed in their homes or businesses.
"Ketra lighting is some of the most sophisticated lighting sources in the world," Jesse Adams, president of Adams Electric, said. "It goes from true light to true black and allows homes and businesses to actually experience the full spectrum of light."
Besides the lighting systems, the showroom also features areas that highlight Adams Electric's history, products, services and accomplishments.
"What most people don't get to hear is what is the history of Adams. So, it's about our history. It's about our core values," Adams said. "It's about products of distinction, awards and accolades, the way we think about giving back to our communities. All of that stuff gets featured, so you can see a little bit more about Adams."
Rep. Tyler August, R-Walworth, said he has known the Adams family for several years, and he is excited to see them expand their operations.
"It's an honor for me to be here both in a professional capacity as the state representative for the city of Elkhorn but also on a personal level to see such a great family doing so well and doing so much for the community, employing people and giving back," August said. "That's really what it's all about here at Adams Electric."
Elkhorn Mayor Timothy Shiroda said he is pleased with the opening of the showroom. He said the showroom is located in a building that previously housed a Sentry Foods store, which closed several years ago, and he is excited to see the facility being used once again.
"I was with the city in a different capacity when this building was no longer a Sentry grocery store," Shiroda said. "We were all worried what was going to become of it in the future. We're not worried anymore."
The showroom and the atrium took about a year to complete.
"We started last year with a goal of being opened by Memorial Day of this year," Adams said. "So, here we are. We hit the timeline."
Potential customers and clients may make an appointment to visit the showroom by calling 262235-2510 or visiting www.teamadams.com.
"So whether you're a home builder, remodeler, interior designer, an architect or a customer, we invite people to come in and actually see it and experience the lighting," Adams said. "Because unless you're sitting in the experience center and seeing the product and its functionality, it's actually hard to explain it."
Adams Electric offers electrical, generator, heating and cooling, and plumbing contracting services for residential, commercial and industrial properties throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
The company was founded in 1988.
