Thursday, Sept. 17
JUMP: America’s Van Halen Experience — Doors open 6 p.m., show starts 7 p.m., Geneva Stage, 244 Broad St., Lake Geneva, genevastage.com. Straight out of Toledo, Ohio, this group promises two hours of David Lee Roth-era Van Halen tunes. Opening is Hersteria, an all-female tribute to Def Leppard. Tickets $25.
Walworth County’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s is Saturday, starting in Lake Geneva’s Library Park.
Supernatural Lake Superior with Chad Lewis — 6-7 p.m., Lake Geneva Public Library, 918 W. Main St., Lake Geneva, 262-249-5299, lglibrary.org. Researcher/author/lecturer Lewis has traveled the world for almost 30 years in search of the bizarre. At this free event, Lewis will discuss the numerous mysteries and legends of Lake Superior.
Tunes on the Trail: Micah Lynn Gebel — 6:30-8:30 p.m., Rail Park, northeast corner of Mill Street and South Railroad Street, town of Lyons, lyonsforabetterneighborhood.com/music-in-the-park. Outdoor live music continues with the Gebel Girls member singing and playing the music of Norah Jones, Fleetwood Mac, Heart and others on piano. Free to attend. Pack a cooler, bring a lawn chair.
Friday, Sept. 18
Space & Spaces Tour — 1:30 p.m., Yerkes Observatory, 373 W. Geneva St., Williams Bay, yerkesobservatory.org/tour-and-event-tickets. See the world’s largest lens telescope at an international landmark during this “classic” tour of the new and old sections of Yerkes. What makes it special? A climb up the grand staircase, for one thing. Stops at the restored Hagenah Rotunda and Ann M. Drake Family Library are also planned, as well as a trip to the attic’s research library to view 130 years worth of books and astronomy equipment. Tickets $47 adults, $25 ages 11-18, $8 ages 5-10.
The Geneva Taco & Tequila Fest 2026 — 4-9 p.m., Lake Geneva House of Music N3241 County Road H, town of Geneva, lghom.com. Three-day event kicks off with live music various tastings, vendors, children’s entertainment, dancers and more. Festival is also Saturday, Sept. 19, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 20, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tickets $10 for all three days, free all weekend to ages 12 and younger.

Take the 1-mile Historic Route, or go 3 miles on the Lakeshore Route, which also has stairs and more difficult terrain. More at the website.
Fat Tire Charity Ride — 9 a.m., Champs Sports Bar & Grill, 747 W. Main St., Lake Geneva, fattireride.com. Explore over 21 miles around Geneva Lake by bicycle, through Lake Geneva, Fontana and Williams Bay, with rest stops at various area establishments. Ride is rain or shine. Fee: $45. An Evening with Agatha Christie — 6-7:30 p.m., parking at Reek School, W4094 South Lake Shore Drive, town of Linn, blackpointestate.wisconsinhistory.org/upcoming-events. On this tour “filled with mystery, history and more,” local historian/actress Chris Brookes portrays the historic author. See the first floor of the estate, enjoy a twilight conversation on the veranda and a complimentary glass of wine. Expect Brookes to explore such works as “Murder on the Orient Express” and “Mousetrap.” Cost $40 per person. Ages 13 and older.
