Sunday Coffee Rides — Sundays, May 26 and June 2, Avant Cycles, 912 S. Wells St., Lake Geneva. Weather dependent group rides at a casual pace, with stops for breakfast. Fourth Annual Lake Geneva Bacon Fest 2024 — Friday, May 31, May 24, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Edgewater Park, East Geneva Street, Williams Bay. Farmfresh produce from Roberts Produce, treats by Simple Cafe and more. The market will be every Friday until Aug. 30. Go to the Williams Bay Farmers Market Facebook page.
Yerkes Observatory's Sci-Fi Film Series: "Everything Everywhere All At Once" — May 24, 7-9:30 p.m., Yerkes Observatory, 373 W. Geneva St., Williams Bay. The 2023 Best Motion Picture Oscar win ner will be screened with a discussion led by Preston Huft, a sixth-year physics doctorate student whose research is in experimental atomic physics and quantum networking. 5K Wine Run — Monday, May 27, 9 a.m., Studio Winery + Geneva Lake Distilling, 401 Sheridan Springs Road, Lake Geneva. Timed, scored race will benefit New Day Women's Clinic. Memorial Day
Observances in the town of Walworth — May 27, 8 a.m. at Cobblestone Cemetery, W5283 Cobblestone Road, town of Walworth; and 9 a.m., Brick Church Cemetery, W6911 Brick Church Road, town of Walworth. Memorial Day Parade & Observance in the village of Walworth — The parade starts May27 at 9:45 a.m., circling Heyer Park Square, then heading along Kenosha Street to Walworth Center Cemetery, 603 Kenosha St. If inclement weather, the observance at the cemetery will occur at Walworth Elementary School, 121 Beloit St., Walworth.
Annual Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony in Lake Geneva — May 27, 10 a.m., downtown Lake Geneva. Parade starts at the corner of Broad Street and Wisconsin Avenue, near Horticultural Hall, ending at the Brunk Pavilion in Flat Iron Park, where there will be a ceremony around 10:30 a.m. If rain, the ceremony will occur at 10:15 a.m. at the Lake Geneva Middle School, 600 N. Bloomfield Road, Lake Geneva.
Memorial Day in Genoa City — The SponholtzDeignan American Legion Post 183 has its program May 27 at 10 a.m. at Brookwood Elementary School, 630 Kossuth St., Genoa City. The post will then march to 332 Fellows Road for a short ceremony with a memorial wreath casting into Nippersink Creek.
Memorial Day in Williams Bay — The Geneva Lake Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2373 has a parade starting at the corner of Clover and Cherry streets May 27 at 10:45 a.m. The parade will travel along Williams Street then down Geneva Street, a.k.a. Highway 67, to the VFW Post 2373 Veterans Memorial at Edgewater Park. At about 11:15 a.m., after the parade, a solemn Memorial Day observance will be at the memorial on East Geneva Street.
Memorial Day Parade & Observance in Fontana — Parade begins May 27 at 11 a.m. at the U.S. Post Office, 185 Third Ave., Fontana. It travels on Third Avenue to Lake Street, ending at lakefront Reid Park for the Memorial Day observance. If inclement weather, the observance will be at Fontana Elementary School, 450 S. Main St., Fontana.
Murder Mystery Dinner: A Dance With Death — Thursday, May 30, 7-9 p.m., Baker House, 327 Wrigley Drive, Lake Geneva. A 1950s prom becomes a doo wop disaster when there's death on the dance floor. Guests can trade clues in order to solve the mystery. Tickets $90 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Price includes dinner and show. Limited seating. Go to bakerhouse1885.com.
Murder Mystery Dinner: Good Riddance — Friday, May 31, 7-9 p.m., The Abbey Resort, 269 Fontana Blvd., Fontana. Step back into the 1990s and solve a mystery at the grand opening of a mall while enjoying a three-course dinner. For ages 18 and older. Cost: $79 per person. Go to theabbeyresort.com.
Surf & Turf Train —Saturday, June 1, 5:30 p.m., East Troy Electric Railroad Depot. Enjoy an elegant meal while on a train ride through the countryside. Tickets: $145 each. Go to easttroyrr.org for full menu and more details.
Mr. Lake Geneva Pageant 2024 — June 1, 7 p.m., Badger High School Auditorium, 220 E. South St., Lake Geneva. Eight well-known local business owners and active community members will compete for the title of Mr. Lake Geneva. The pageant has several rounds, including a group dance, talent show, beach and evening wear contests and interviews. Each candidate is trying to raise funds for a local charity, and the amount they raise counts for 50% of their final score. Contestants are Kevin Singh, for the Lake Geneva Food Pantry; Abel Rosas, for Inspiration Ministries; Tom Giovannoni, for The Tree House; Matt Stinebrink, for Alzheimers Association; Joe Deciccio, for Seeds of Hope; Skip Harless, for Geneva Lake YMCA; Chad Markovich, for Open Arms Free Clinic; and Danny Zientek, for Lift for 22.
