Author Event featuring Patricia McConnell — 2-3:30 p.m., Riviera Ballroom, 812 Wrigley Drive, Lake Geneva, lglibrary.org/events. A former UWMadison zoology professor and internationally known animal behaviorist and author, McConnell shares her mystery debut, "Away to Me!" The book, a planned first installment in a new trilogy, is set in rural Wisconsin. Books can be purchased at the event only by credit card. Register by Feb. 28 at lglibrary.org to attend.
Bon Jovi & Journey Tribute — Doors 6 p.m., show 7 p.m., Geneva Stage, genevastage.com. Bon Journeyed to perform. Tickets $40-45, plus fees.
Dinner & Concert Series: Huey and the News — 6-10 p.m., Pier 290, 1 Liechty Drive, Williams Bay, pier290.com. The Huey Lewis and the News tribute act will perform during the dinner, and the 1980s soulinflected group also influences the menu, which includes dishes named "Hip to Be Square" and "Power of Love Bites." Movie Mondays with Black Point Estate — 2-4 p.m., Lake Geneva Public Library, 918 W. Main St., Lake Geneva, lglibrary.org. "Paper Moon" is the movie being shown during this installment of the monthly film series. Each installment includes an introduction by Dave Desimone, of the Wisconsin Historical Society. Desimone leads a group discussion after each film. Adult program, with all films shown with subtitles.

Bee Gees Tribute — March 5 & 6, 7 p.m., Belfry Music Theatre, 3601 Highway 67, Delavan, belfrymusictheatre.com /events. The She Gees perform. Tickets $74-92.
Shop Hop Stop — March 6-8, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Lake Geneva Antique Mall, 829 Williams St., Lake Geneva. The mall is participating in the event organized by Vintage Shop Hop, which lists various vintage shops and ladies boutiques to provide a "self-guided road trip" through Wisconsin or Illinois. Celebrating Women's History 1790-Present — March 7, 1:30 p.m., First Congregational United Church of Christ, 715 Wisconsin St., Lake Geneva. Carron Little, executive director of Chicago's Women's History Center, will discuss the historical publication "Women Building Chicago 1790-1990" and current work involving Chicago women. Messier Marathon Open House — March 13, 8-10 p.m., Yerkes Observatory, 373 W. Geneva St., Williams Bay, yerkesobservatory.org. The open house season begins at Yerkes! Open exploration of a place once visited by Albert Einstein, with demos, handson activities and a scavenger hunt with prizes.
